The public tour involves walking or standing for up to 60 minutes. This is a working plant, so the environment can be loud and busy. Children under the age of 8 are not allowed on the tour. For your safety, please wear closed-toe shoes that cover the entire foot (such as athletic or walking shoes). Flip-flops or sandals are not permitted on the tour.

If you are interested in a Special Tour, please call the District at (510) 276-4700 to schedule a date and time. Special Tours are conducted on dates other than those reserved for Quarterly Public Tours and are subject to staff availability.

Special Tour guests are responsible for bringing an adequate number of adult chaperones as outlined below:
