Request Trash Exemption
If you feel you don’t need weekly trash service, you may qualify for a trash exemption. Please note that recycling and organics collection services are still required.
Who Can Apply:
You may be eligible for a trash exemption if:
- No Trash is Produced: This means your household doesn’t generate any trash, as everything is sorted into recycling, organics, or handled with special disposal, such as hazardous waste.
- Shared Service Within the District: You share trash service with someone else in the Oro Loma Sanitary District. You’ll need to provide their name, phone number, and address.
- Self-Haul: You haul your trash to a transfer station or landfill. Proof of proper disposal may be required.
How to Apply:
Please complete the online form below, or download and complete the PDF and mail it in.
Important Information About the Exemption:
- Applies to trash collection only. Recycling and organics collection services are still required.
- Non-transferable and may be revoked, if trash is found in the recycle or organics carts.
