Looking to get rid of your old mattress? You’re in the right place!

We know it can be a challenging task, but getting rid of your mattress responsibly is important to protect the planet’s health, save landfill space, and conserve finite resources. When mattresses are sent to the landfill, they take up a lot of space because they don’t compact very well. In addition to their large footprint, their valuable components are lost forever. Most parts of a mattress can be recycled including, the fibers, metal, wood, and foam. By recycling your mattress, you help recover these materials, preserving the planet’s finite resources.

Bulky Collection Service

You can set out mattresses for collection and recycling when you schedule a bulky pickup with WM. For more information about this service:

Retailer Take Bake

In California, retailers are required to offer no-charge take-back services for a customer’s used mattress and/or box spring upon delivering a new one. The retailer has 30 days from the delivery date to schedule the removal of the old mattresses. For more information, visit:

Bye Bye Mattress Program
