The District established two major goals including:

1. Reduction of Indirect Green House Gas Emissions by 2040 (year 2000 baseline)
2. Reduction of Direct Green House Gas Emissions by 2040 (year 2000 baseline)

The District issued a progress report in 2022

The District is ahead of schedule for the reduction of indirect emissions.

The District expects a 100% reduction by mid to late 2022.

Opportunities to manage direct emissions remain.

The District is targeting its aeration system for efficiency measures, a renewed focus on limiting natural gas, and transition to an electrified vehicle fleet.
