News #97 – School is Back in Session!

Text promoting Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot with images of items categorized into green (organics), blue (recycle), and black (trash) bins.

Summer’s over, the backpacks are packed, and the bedtimes are back. It’s a great time to dust off the 4R’s: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot, at school and at home.

At School:
Apple core? Green bin-Rot never looked so responsible.
Unopened snacks or milk? Share the love at the shared table.
Reusable water bottle? A+ in waste reduction.
Using disposable packaging? Use recyclable or compostable materials like paper.
And, always remember, bottles and cans need to be empty (no mystery liquids, please).

At Home:
Make sorting a daily habit. Compost food scraps, recycle only bottles, cans, jars, jugs, paper
and cardboard not used for food or drink. Together we can protect the environment and help build a better tomorrow. Thank you for doing your part!
