Oro Loma Sanitary District Awarded Collection System of the Year

On April 10, 2026, the Oro Loma Sanitary District proudly received the Statewide Collection System of the Year Award in the Medium category, recognizing its excellence in system maintenance, regulatory compliance, and safety and training practices. This is the fifth time the District has received this esteemed award, following Oro Loma's previous Regional Collection Systems of the Year Award for 2025-2026.
“This recognition reflects the dedication and professionalism of our Collections team,” said General Manager Jimmy Dang. “Their commitment to protecting public health and the environment is evident in the high standards they uphold every day. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our Board of Directors for their continued leadership and support.”
Presented by the California Water Environment Association (CWEA), the Collection System of the Year Award honors agencies that demonstrate outstanding performance, innovative approaches, and leadership in wastewater collection system management. The award highlights programs that ensure reliability, protect water quality, and serve as models for the industry.
