Chairperson of Personnel/Safety/Public Information Committee, Member of Solid Waste Committee,  Representative (Commissioner) on the East Bay Dischargers Authority (EBDA), and Alternate on Alameda County Waste Management Authority. 

Ms. Young is currently a business/environmental consultant who owned her own business for 30 years prior to service as Mayor of the City of San Leandro, named Mayor Emeritus in 2008. Ms. Young was elected to the Oro Loma Board in 2014, and re-elected in 2018 and 2022.
